Our Team
Sonya is proudly bi-coastal, having grown up in Vancouver, and lived in Halifax while completing her law degree. She joined SBA and in 2019 and, after five years in Toronto, she is finally willing to admit Lake Ontario is a lot like an ocean.
Sonya thrives on novelty and variety. Her love of learning has allowed her to quickly develop a diverse litigation practice, encompassing everything from personal injury to accident benefits, fraud, property damage, and coverage disputes. She has successfully represented clients at the LAT, in Small Claims, and Superior Court of Justice on a variety of matters.
Sonya is proudly the first on and last off of the dance floor at firm events. Outside work, you’ll find her biking around the city, visiting vintage and thrift stores, and hunting down the best chai lattes.
